Dawahon Island - Tabango Leyte

Include this one secluded island in your summer's bucket list! Dawahon Island - Tabango Leyte The Dawahon island is a tiny, triangle-shaped islet with rocky shores stretching a 500 meters in circumference. The island is called Dawahon because of the  dáwa-dáwa  grass (cockspur grass) that abounds in the center. There is a tiny sandy beach at the eastern tip where its crystal clear water is perfect for swimming and snorkeling, while some parts are good for cliff jumping. Dawahon island is located 1 mile west of Burabod in Brgy Inangatan, Tabango, Leyte, and can be reached by boat that would sail 15 minutes from Burabod, 20 minutes from Libagong, or 30 minutes if your ride is from Tabango or Villaba port.  There are only two cottages for rent in the island which costs 500 and 900 pesos respectively.
